Key Responsibilities
* Define and implement the business strategy for the Manufacturing Logistics sector in alignment with DHL’s vision and shareholder interests.
* Formulate short- and long-term plans, objectives, policies, and procedures to translate strategy into operational and financial success.
* Lead and manage all sector operations, ensuring achievement of profitability, revenue, productivity, and market share targets.
* Drive P&L performance, cost control, and revenue management for the sector.
* Oversee and monitor key business functions including sales, marketing, operations, finance, and HR.
* Control consolidated budgets, approve variances, and recommend corrective actions.
* Set and monitor operational and financial objectives for multiple executive and senior management teams.
* Assess company performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement and growth.
* Champion innovation and explore new opportunities to enhance business operations and customer solutions.
* Negotiate critical agreements and build strong relationships with senior leaders across DHL and external partners.
* Represent DHL as a thought leader, influencing stakeholders internally and externally.
* Ensure effective talent selection, leadership development, and organizational design for major areas of the business.
Skills and Qualifications
The skills, qualities and experience required include senior leadership experience, being able to demonstrate a strong focus on both respect and results. A proven experience in logistics or operations within the Logistics sector as well as strong strategic and analytical skills with a track record of driving strategies with long-term impact on business results in alignment with global divisional objectives and directly impacting the organization’s business strategy is a must for the role. Experience of working in a matrix and delivering through and as part of a team is critical and experience of leading culture change would be beneficial.
* University degree / MBA.
* At least 8-10 years relevant experience in Supply chain.
* Experience in shaping the strategy for a large unit/team.
