Responsibilities for the role of EIA Technical Director include:
Manage a range of water-related projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
Produce, review, and amend key hydrological, water resource, and peat management Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters for renewable energy, infrastructure, and transportation projects
Liaise with and manage stakeholders, both internal and external to the company, to produce EIA
Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications for a number of projects
Actively contribute to business development activities
Required skills and experience for the role of EIA Technical Director include:
A good Initial Degree (with an Upper Second Class Honours or higher) in a numerate or environmental discipline
Extensive experience in producing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for a number of different water environments (e.g. rivers, wetlands, etc.)
Demonstrable experience of coordinating Environmental Assessments
Excellent working knowledge of EIA regulations
Highly proficient understanding of the UK Planning System
High-level understanding of flood management and drainage strategies/systems
Confident and competent in the use of GIS software packages
Experience of leading/managing projects and/or a team of staff
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Outstanding numeracy skills
Possess a full, valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle
Willing to travel across the UK to undertake a variety of projects
Possess professional membership of a relevant professional body (or actively working toward this)
Desirable skills and experience for the role of EIA Technical Director include:
Hold a Master's (or higher) Degree in a relevant environmental or numerate discipline
Excellent time management skills
