Position Summary
As a member of the Pharmacy Division Senior Management Team, the post holder will be responsible for delivering the strategic aims of the Division primarily linked to operational planning and service delivery that is patient focused, safe and regulatory compliant. This will ensure smooth and efficient operations, performance and outcomes management of these high‑risk activities by leading operational teams to achieve this.
Key Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for a portfolio of service delivery with operational service level agreements, contracts and policy across a range of services and providers throughout the division.
Lead on service delivery to all stakeholders within NHS Wales and externally, ensuring customer satisfaction and excellence while identifying cost benefits and efficiencies.
Ensure business continuity with strategic planning for service resilience on behalf of the Director of Pharmacy Services.
Lead on each Pharmacy Division section/department’s commercial plans and their performance with outcomes measurement and reporting to ensure they reflect the organisation’s annual delivery plan and strategies as set out within its IMTP.
Strategically plan, execute and monitor all aspects of divisional projects to realise intended outcomes in line with division and organisational goals aligned to the IMTP and clinical demand for medicines and pharmacy services.
Lead on business continuity planning for robust responses to incidents and disruptions, including business impact analysis, risk assessment and development of continuity plans to include emergency responses and back‑up systems.
Lead on strategic planning for service resilience, design of flexible and adaptable service delivery models with continuous monitoring of performance against KPIs, updates to current systems and practices, or implementation of new or novel solutions to manage risks, maintaining risk registers, ensuring appropriate governance and escalation.
Lead on the design and implementation of digital workflow systems and digital dashboard systems to demonstrate operational performance.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but both Welsh and English speakers are welcomed to apply.
