The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the NHS delivering occupational health services across a range of commercial customers. This role provides an excellent support network and development opportunities in house as part of the role. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter, currently working in the field of Occupational Health and who feel are ready for the next challenge, within a supportive team. This role encompasses the full range of occupational health staff nurse duties; immunisations, pre-placement screening, all aspects of health surveillance, customer liaison etc. This post delivers services on site to Salus customers and could be considered as a training post for the right candidate.

What we'll need you to bring
Training and/or qualification(s) required:
1. Registered General Nurse/current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council. Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
2. Evidence of ongoing training and continuing professional development relating to professional discipline
3. Evidence of knowledge or recognised training in spirometry, audiometry and the use of vision screening equipment (or willingness to undertake suitable training in the above)
4. Evidence of experience or recognised training in venepuncture
5. Evidence of experience or recognised training in presentation skills
6. Evidence of knowledge or recognised training in Microsoft Office systems
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
7. Post graduate specialist qualification in occupational health – Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health) with evidence of ongoing training and continuing professional development relating to professional discipline
8. Experience of managing delivery of a service to a customer / client
9. Experience of delivering health surveillance to identified individuals at risk of occupational disease
10. Experience in Case Management
11. High level of specialist knowledge across a wide range of areas including management of sickness absence, policies, procedures, acts of parliament and legislation
12. Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
13. An understanding and experience of Audit
14. Evidence of knowledge or recognised training of specialist diagnostic equipment, and interpretation and analysis of results
15. Evidence of Influencing and negotiating skills
16. Evidence and experience of ability to manage own workload and that of others with the capacity to plan,
17. implement and evaluate work schedule
18. Ability to deal with competing priorities in a challenging environment
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, I.T., training and Presentation skills
20. Experience of producing high level reports and statistics utilising appropriate databases

This role will be based in Salus within Beckford Street
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
