We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive firm with opportunities for development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial reporting, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
* Oversee cashflow, working capital, and financial KPIs, ensuring accuracy across WIP, billing, and revenue
* Maintain strong balance sheet controls and support audits and statutory reporting
* Ensure full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and client money regulations
* Oversee client and office account processes, including reconciliations, billing, and disbursements
* Act as escalation point for client money risks and support regulatory submissions
* Lead and develop Cashiering and Credit Control teams
* Deliver bonus and productivity reporting and support wider finance projects
Skills & Experience
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years' PQE
* Legal finance experience (SRA knowledge desirable)
* Team management experience
* Strong Excel and accounting systems (Xero preferred)
* Analytical, detail-driven, and commercially aware
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
* High integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
