JOB DESCRIPTION
Electrically biased trades person based on site undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, and building fabric. Based at LCY2 but may be asked to assist other nearby sites as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Manager. Including, but not limited to fault finding, test, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment; and other electrical duties in support of the rest of the team
2. Duties will also include carrying out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks
3. To close / update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system
4. Ensure engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems
5. To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects
6. Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
7. Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works
8. To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required, and requested by management
9. Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders
10. Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner
11. To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach
12. Complete any other associated task requested by the management. This may include taking part security related tasks such as assisting with searches of the premises
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
13. City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE
14. Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training
15. A demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering
16. Customer service
17. Smart appearance, presentable
18. Logical thinker in fault finding situations
19. Excellent interpersonal skills
20. Good written and verbal communication skills
21. Comfortable working within a team environment. Able to contribute to group success whilst willingly following instructions of others
22. Able to work unsupervised
23. Self-motivated and an ability to self-generate reactive tasks
24. Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change

29. HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience
