Job Description
Role: Legal Advisor - Personal Injury (EL/PL) Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid I'm supporting a well?established legal services provider as they look to expand their Personal Injury team with additional Legal Advisors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast?paced, client?focused work and wants to build experience handling Employers' Liability and Public Liability enquiries. You'll act as the first point of contact for new claim enquiries, providing initial guidance, assessing case viability, and ensuring clients receive clear, empathetic support from the outset. The position involves drafting early claim documentation, progressing files efficiently, and contributing to the overall success of the department.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a high volume of incoming EL/PL enquiries and progressing claims from initial instruction through to settlement.
* Working proactively within a task?based case management system to ensure timely updates and excellent client care.
* Assessing liability and quantum, including reviewing medical evidence and applying relevant frameworks.
* Gathering essential information, identifying next steps, and ensuring claims move smoothly through medical, losses, damages, and other key milestones.
* Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, addressing queries and managing expectations throughout the process.
* Performing effectively in a target?driven environment while maintaining high standards of service.
* Supporting wider team objectives and undertaking additional tasks where required.
