About the Role
We are looking for a caring and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in a prison setting. You will work under the delegated authority of a Registered Nurse and support the provision of primary, mental health and substance misuse services, ensuring holistic care packages for patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Gate reception screening and initial assessment of prisoners.
* Deliver agreed care packages, perform physical health observations, and carry out appropriate clinical duties.
* Conduct clinics such as phlebotomy, ECG, NHS health checks, sexual health and health promotion activities.
* Support patients with low‑level mental ill‑health and substance withdrawal per care plans.
* Participate in the emergency response team as required.
