At GÉANT, we power Europe’s research and education community by delivering cutting-edge digital infrastructure. As a WordPress Engineer, you’ll play a key role in managing and optimising our WordPress estate, ensuring our platforms perform flawlessly and securely.
You’ll join a collaborative IT Operations team spread across Cambridge and Amsterdam, working alongside service desk engineers and SharePoint specialists. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of WordPress development and support within a mission-driven organisation that connects over 50 million users across 10,000 institutions worldwide.
What You’ll Do
Develop & Customise:
* Build and extend WordPress themes (including Elementor-based solutions).
* Develop custom plugins to enhance functionality
* Design and implement new features for existing and new GÉANT sites.
System & Security Management:
1. Manage WordPress versions, plugins, and updates, including testing and troubleshooting.
