Senior Design Manager - Main Contractor
Location: East Midlands
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Package
I'm working with a leading main contractor that is looking to appoint a Senior Design Manager to lead the design process across a range of high-profile construction projects.
The company has a strong presence in the region and a healthy pipeline of work across sectors including commercial, education, residential, and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the design process from preconstruction through to delivery
* Coordinate input from consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
* Ensure design deliverables meet programme, budget, and compliance requirements
* Drive buildability and value engineering
* Support and mentor junior team members
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager with a main contractor
* Strong technical understanding and coordination experience across RIBA stages
* Track record delivering multi-disciplinary construction projects
* Confident communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
