Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our clients, in home care services. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to senior staff.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting, such as a care home or home care environment, is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
* A valid driving licence is essential for community work.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
