The Role
We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Due to our delivery model, flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
* Develop, update and improve course materials.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties.
* Keep up to date with latest developments in field and student support practices.
* Work towards defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You
* Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject (PhD desirable).
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the relevant subject area.
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Maintain accurate reporting and thorough, organised student records.
* Work under pressure, prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Able to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commit to enrolling on a teaching programme during probation and completing within three years, or hold Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes.
