GSL Education are currently seeking a skilled SEMH Teacher to join schools in Epworth. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver high-quality teaching tailored to the unique needs of pupils facing emotional or behavioural challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging, inclusive lesson plans that promote academic progress while addressing the social and emotional development of your students. You will collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to provide a holistic educational experience. Key Responsibilities of a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Techer : Plan and deliver differentiated lessons designed to meet the SEMH needs of pupils Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans Lead behaviour management strategies that promote positive outcomes and emotional regulation Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and wellbeing Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment Work closely with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development Contribute to whole-school initiatives focused on SEMH and safeguarding Provide pastoral care and act as a positive role model for pupils SEMH Teacher Skills & Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification Proven experience teaching SEMH pupils within UK schools or specialist settings Strong knowledge of behaviour management and therapeutic approaches Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one) Why Choose GSL Education?
