Overall aim of the role:

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Stock Controller to play a key role in managing stock levels and inventory accuracy across our retail operation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, methodical, and able to work independently. You’ll be responsible for maintaining day-to-day stock accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and working closely with multiple departments to ensure stock supports both immediate operational needs and longer-term planning.

You’ll need a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the confidence to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. A good understanding of stock management processes and business operations is desirable, and full training will be provided.

Flexibility is essential. The role requires availability to work a range of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, and a full driving licence is required.

What you’ll do:

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

* Stock Procurement: proactively monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain the ideal balance of supply, ensuring products are available to meet customer demand without excess inventory.
* Stock Receipt: verify incoming stock to ensure the correct quantity, condition, and product descriptions match the original purchase order. Address discrepancies or issues promptly with suppliers or internal teams.
* Stock Storage & Organisation: efficiently organise and store stock in designated areas (warehouse, stockroom, or shop floor) to optimize space and ensure easy access.
* Stock Movement: facilitate the transfer of stock between different locations within the spa. Ensure that products are readily available where needed, minimizing stockouts while avoiding overstock.
* Stock Taking & Inventory Management: conduct regular and accurate stock takes, ensuring inventory records are up-to-date and reflect actual stock levels. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Collaboration & Relationship Building: build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with team members and other departments to ensure smooth stock operations.
* Ad-hoc Responsibilities: assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by the Treatment Department Manager, including supporting other areas of the business during peak periods or as operational needs arise.

Who you’ll be:

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience, and attributes:

* Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively.
* Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Technically proficient in using stock systems to handle numbers accurately.
* Flexible and adaptable in managing workday tasks.
* Physically capable of performing demanding tasks.
* Previous experience in retail, stock control, or inventory management is preferred.
* Available to work a variety of shifts, including daytime and weekends.
* Hold a full driving licence.
