Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher looking to make a genuine impact in the lives of children with complex needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Special Educational Needs Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school that supports pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The children present with a range of needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Sensory processing needs
* Developmental trauma and attachment difficulties
* Challenging behaviour
The Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
* Create a safe, structured, and therapeutic classroom environment
* Use a trauma-informed and child-centred approach to learning
* Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and external professionals
* Support pupils' academic progress alongside social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Use creative strategies to overcome barriers to learning, including visual supports, sensory integration and communication aids (e.g. PECS, Makaton)
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
* Experience teaching children with SEN, particularly SEMH, ASC, and/or PMLD
* A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching
* Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
* Confidence in adapting the curriculum to meet a wide range of abilities and needs
* Passion for inclusion and making a difference in the lives of vulnerable learners
