Job Description
We are expanding our Transmission and Distribution team in the UK to support the energy transition locally. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to join our team working on national projects, including substations and overhead line projects.
Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
* Substation design (Primary systems)
* Protection and control (Secondary systems), power system modeling, project engineering, commissioning
* SCADA
* Earthing
* Transmission Line Design
* CAD modeling for substations
The Opportunity
Due to an expanding portfolio of projects, we seek a senior transmission and distribution professional to contribute to our team’s success. Your role will involve providing leadership and support across various multi-disciplinary projects, including:
* Leading and collaborating with high-performing project teams across multiple disciplines.
* Managing or developing transmission projects and packages, scaling in size and complexity as your career progresses. Leading pursuits and proposals.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships through successful project delivery.
* Mentoring and supervising junior to mid-level project managers.
* Experience as an Owner Engineer, Independent Certifier, or Lender Technical Advisor.
* Participating in the pursuit, development, and delivery of current and future transmission projects.
* Maintaining industry relationships and networks to meet business and client objectives.
* Defining project scope, schedule, and budget, and coaching others in managing competing demands.
Qualifications
* Qualified electrical engineer with at least 15 years of experience in transmission, utilities, renewable energy, or related fields.
* Strong network and business development skills.
* Experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects in consulting, utilities, or contracting environments.
* Expertise in EHV, HV, and LV electrical engineering from conceptual to detailed design in utilities, renewable energy, traction power, water/wastewater, and other industries.
* Experience with testing, commissioning, FAT witnessing, and failure investigation.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, providing robust advice and support throughout project lifecycles.
