The Opportunity - Technical Product Support Specialist
This role is key to JCB’s Road to Zero goals and to offering the best product support in the industry. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the evolution of the JCB DieselMax engine, supporting the JCB Dealer network and providing unrivalled technical support to our global customers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with development and engineering teams on Road to Zero projects to support product launch and knowledge sharing.
* Compiling technical support documentation such as bulletins, manuals, and training materials, with a focus on electronic controlled engines/machines.
* Providing assistance and advice on engine support procedures to JCB’s global dealer network.
* Leading resolution of complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing support actions.
* Managing the New Product Introduction process for engines, including hydrogen engines, liaising with engineering, sales, parts, and field teams worldwide.
* Analyzing failure and warranty data to identify quality issues and support product improvements.
Ideal candidate profile:
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a strong sense of urgency, customer-focused, and a team player.
* Understanding of hydrogen engine installations in JCB machines, generators, and other applications.
* Experience with engine support systems and processes, preferably with JCB or other OEMs.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at short notice.
* Qualified to HNC/HND, degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with relevant experience.
* Strong engine knowledge, including spark ignition principles, and familiarity with hydrogen, LPG, or CNG systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
