Finance Manager – Cost Management & Control CoE

FP&A | UK

Sough - Hybrid (2 days a week on site)

Leading Travel Tech B2B Company

A leading travel tech B2B company is transforming how the world connects, books, and manages travel. We’re powering the future of travel through innovation, data, and a global platform trusted by airlines, hotels, agencies, and technology partners. As the industry evolves, we’re leading that change — and we’d love for you to be part of it.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead our Centre of Excellence (CoE) for cost management and control. This is a key leadership role driving financial accuracy, operational excellence, audit compliance, and high‑quality insight across the organisation.

What does a great Finance Manager do?

As Finance Manager, you will lead the CoE responsible for OPEX and CAPEX processing, financial reporting, and cost control. You will ensure an efficient close process, maintain strong governance, and drive continuous improvement in how we manage and analyse operating costs across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

* Lead and coordinate the CoE team managing OPEX and CAPEX processes globally.
* Serve as the main point of contact for Central FP&A from a consolidated cost perspective.
* Ensure adherence to agreed processes, service levels, timelines, and quality standards.
* Manage performance improvements and escalate or resolve issues as required.
* Oversee vendor service levels, ensuring delivery against agreed expectations.

Month-End Close, Budgeting & Forecasting

* Own the financial close process for operating costs at both business unit and consolidated levels.
* Co‑ordinate high‑level variance analysis across Actuals, Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year.
* Partner with Finance Business Partners to reconcile system‑based budgets with strategic expectations.

Financial Accounting, Reporting & Audit Control

* Ensure accurate reporting of SGA and Cost of Revenue.
* Manage and track purchase orders to ensure alignment with forecast expectations.
* Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal governance policies.
* Own and maintain audit controls for cost management, supporting internal and external audits.

Reporting Systems & Data

* Manage and optimise reporting systems for cost tracking and analysis.
* Ensure timely releases of consolidated data (including Power BI dashboards).
* Maintain data integrity, structure, and accuracy across reporting tools.

Operating Cost Consolidation & Insight

* Create and maintain consolidation templates, including Next90 forecasting templates.
* Consolidate cost reports across business units, delivering actionable insights.
* Support strategic initiatives and provide ad hoc FP&A support as needed.

Who We’re Looking For

You will excel in this role if you bring a blend of strong financial acumen, leadership capability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑moving, global environment.

Required Skills & Experience

* Strong analytical capability and commercial mindset.
* Proven management experience (onshore/offshore team leadership advantageous).
* Qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA), or a late‑stage active studier.
* Solid experience in a financial accounting or FP&A environment.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
* High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. (Cognos & Oracle a plus.)
* Ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation.
* Strong discipline, consistency, and attention to deadlines.

You’re likely to succeed if you…

* Are motivated by high standards and delivering quality work.
* Enjoy problem‑solving and bringing ideas to life.
* Take ownership and demonstrate accountability.
* Are ambitious, bold, and eager to challenge the status quo.

What We Offer

* Competitive base salary
* Annual bonus
* Private medical insurance
* Life assurance
* Generous holiday allowance

We’re committed to an inclusive, accessible recruitment process. If you have a disability or need adjustments, we’re here to support you.
