We aren’t afraid to compete and push boundaries – the world’s longest yacht race enables to pit their wits, skills and courage against the toughest oceans, with no previous sailing experience required.
Since 1996 the Clipper Race has developed over 8,000 people into competent ocean racers and built a reputation for showcasing brands and building international trade links between partners and host destinations.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a confident Partnerships Manager, who has event delivery experience, to lead the delivery of a selected roster of global partners and stakeholders. This will involve end-to-end planning and execution of their contracts, inclusive of delivering activations at Clipper Race stopovers around the world.
This dual-focus role will manage a portfolio of commercial and destination partners, ensuring delivery of all contracted rights and benefits, whilst also spearheading the operational delivery of large-scale international events.
You’ll act as the main point of contact for partners and host cities, ensuring excellent relationship management, impactful brand experiences, and seamless operational execution.
This role will also work closely with several internal departments, as well as various external agencies, vendors and suppliers to coordinate the delivery of the contracts.
Reporting to: Head of Partnerships
Salary: Up to £35,000, dependent on experience

Location: This role is based at our offices in Gosport 5 days a week and involves international travel to Clipper Race stopovers, and occasional weekend/holiday work during peak periods

Key responsibilities:
* Be the day-to-day contact for an assigned roster of partners across a number of tiers, including teams, host port destinations and fleet & official suppliers.
* Develop strong, collaborative relationships with partners and internal stakeholders to understand objectives, define deliverables, and track performance.
* Project manage the end-to-end delivery of contracted rights, including branding, hospitality, content, media, and activation elements.
* Support the Partnerships team with regular reporting and wrap-up documents, providing data and insights on delivery.
* Identify opportunities to enhance partner value and contribute ideas for renewal or upsell.
* Oversee end-to-end logistics including procurement, contractor management, supplier liaison, infrastructure delivery and H&S compliance.
* Manage event concepts, layouts, creative design, hospitality programmes and entertainment schedules, sourcing any additional suppliers and infrastructure required to deliver these.
* Act as the central point of contact for assigned stopover activity, providing clear planning timelines, supplier briefs, and on-site management.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams within Clipper Ventures such as Race Management, Communications/Marketing to ensure all departments work cohesively and efficiently to deliver outstanding stopovers and events.
Key requirements:
* 2-3 years+ experience managing partnerships or sponsorships, with the ability to interpret contracts and deliver on rights packages.
* Demonstrable experience of staging high quality events in the Entertainment, Live Events or Sports industry, preferably internationally.
* Experience in putting together all elements of events from gaining permits to sourcing F&B and delivering high profile VIP guest experiences.
* Confident, personable communicator with experience managing multiple stakeholders.
* Team player, willing to get stuck in and support wherever needed.
* Commercial acumen and the ability to build relationships and negotiate with suppliers.
* Calm, organized and solution-orientated with meticulous attention to detail and high standards; thrives under pressure.
* Comfortable working autonomously, but also highly collaborative, with good communication skills.
* International experience is desirable but not essential.
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure against often tight deadlines.
* Understanding and awareness of health and safety requirements required in event settings.
