Your new role
This is initially a 6–8 week contract with a possibility of going permanent. You will be responsible for all transport operations and regulatorypliance with relevant laws, including health and safety and environmental standards and procedures. Planning and coordinating transport plans that align withpany goals. Support the management of drivers including training and development, monitoring driver performance and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines. Manage the transportation budget, including costs associated with fuel, vehicle maintenance and procurement of new vehicles. Evaluate transport operations by analysing logistic metrics, reports and performance. Scheduling regular maintenance and inspections for vehicles to ensure safety,pliance and optimal performance and minimise downtime.
What you'll need to succeed T
T ransport Manager Certificate (CPC) demonstrating knowledge of transport management, covering legal, operational and financial aspects. Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate schedules and oversee vehicle operations. Capability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions, particularly in challenging situations. Thoroughness in monitoringpliance with safety regulations and maintenance schedules to ensure smooth operations.
