The Operations Manager will lead the Workplace Function in Dundee which is responsible for the overall operational facility management of our two central buildings in Dundee, including our Head Office. This is a customer focused role leading the Workplace Team based in Dundee delivering various workplace services including reception, accommodation, distribution, and travel services. There is also a requirement to define and develop services aligned to customer needs. This role is office based, with a minimum of being on site 4 days a week, with the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week, depending on customer demand. Occasional travel to Glasgow will be required. The position will report to the Operations Lead. Responsibilities Responsibilities Line manage the Workplace Team Manager (B2) and countersigning manager for Workplace Coordinator (B1); ensuring people policies are being applied to support performance and capability of the team in delivering a customer centred service; Lead operational facility management activity to ensure effective maintenance to ensure a safe work environment; collaborating with others to achieve strategic facility management objectives; Lead workplace activity across our Dundee estate, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and standards; additionally, managing an assurance framework to support adherence to compliance requirements; Lead procurement activity of the workplace function alongside the other Glasgow based Operations Manager, aligned with organisational procurement policies; establishing contractual arrangements that enable and deliver a customer centred workplace service; Lead the financial administration of the Dundee workplace function; ensuring budgets are prepared and managed in adherence to organisational policies to deliver the workplace service; Lead business continuity and risk management activity of the workplace service ensuring that services remain resilient and available; Establish and maintain effective relationships to understand short, medium, and long-term service requirements; shaping the direction of workplace function to support the organisation’s strategic objectives; Responsible for embedding the workplace operating model and service development principles; while ensuring that service is delivered aligned with established performance standards; Support the Operations Lead in their role. Qualifications Qualifications Applicants should either hold an IWFM (Institute for Workplace and Facility Management) Level 4 qualification or be willing to work towards this.
