Planning Ecologist
35 hours per week
Salary: £31,768 - £34,959 per annum pro rata
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, one of the UK's fastest-growing nature conservation organisations, seeks to appoint a Planning Ecologist.
This role offers a rare opportunity for a talented and motivated ecologist to contribute to creating a sustainable Yorkshire by enhancing the Trust's influence in the planning system.
Using your ecological knowledge and understanding of the planning system, and working closely with the Planning Specialist, you will lead efforts to engage with and influence planning processes across Yorkshire to support YWT's goal of a nature-rich region.
You will identify opportunities to prevent negative impacts and promote positive wildlife outcomes from development projects through responding to planning applications and liaising with developers, local authorities, and stakeholders.
