Responsibilities
* Execute trading strategies across compliance markets (EU ETS, UK ETS) to maximise risk-adjusted returns.
* Monitor regulatory developments, auction calendars, and price movements.
* Conduct market and policy analysis to inform trading decisions.
* Enhance pricing models and analytic tools for carbon valuation.
* Provide insights to internal stakeholders on market trends and risk strategies.
* Support client pricing and market knowledge sharing with sales teams.
* Improve trading processes, reporting, and position management.
* Align trading activity with broader corporate ESG and sustainability goals.
Qualifications
* 8-10 years' experience in commodity trading, with a focus on carbon markets.
* Proven success in EU ETS and/or UK ETS trading with strong P&L and risk discipline.
* Skilled in structured carbon trades (spot, futures, options, cross-product).
* Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volatility environments.
* Strong communicator with stakeholder engagement skills.
* Detail-oriented with operational discipline across trade life cycle.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for environmental markets.
