An opportunity has arisen to join our client who are a Leading Automotive Manufacturer at their Thorne Vehicle Distribution Centre near Doncaster in a role that combines technical expertise, supplier performance management, and quality assurance. As a Technical Contracts Process Auditor, you will play an important part in maintaining product standards, improving operational performance, and helping to deliver an excellent experience across the vehicle distribution network.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible and remote working options available following the required training. You will work with a respected automotive brand, build strong relationships across the supply chain, and further develop your technical, auditing, and stakeholder management skills. Travel will be expected on an ad-hoc basis to other Vehicle Distribution Centres, these include Sywell, Killingholme, Southampton, Dublin, as well as other Retailer sites across the UK.

The rate of pay is circa £40,000 per annum

Stakeholder Management and Quality Oversight

- Function as an ambassador for the Vehicle Distribution Centre in all dealings with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and public bodies.
- Conduct retailer and group site visits where required to gather evidence and help resolve disputes or product quality issues.
- Investigate, attribute, and report issues through root cause analysis, driving and managing corrective actions.
- Monitor and assess the quality of BMW Group products up to and including dispatch from the centres.

Your Time at Work

As a Technical Contracts Process Auditor, your role will encompass:

- Undertake process and quality audits with suppliers to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality standards across automotive storage compounds, preparation, and refurbishment centres.
- Authorise vehicle rectification work conducted at Vehicle Distribution Centres across the UK, ensuring charges align with agreed contract rates and are assigned appropriately.
- Monitor damage trends across the supply chain, identify where issues occur, support improvement activity, and verify responsibility and liability for associated costs.
- Support the prioritisation of workflows across Vehicle Distribution Centres and dispatch areas, balancing routine operational activity with urgent technical campaigns or recall work.
- Address supplier performance shortfalls through corrective action plans, mitigation activity, and sound commercial judgement where required.
- Support the setting of monthly or rolling targets for supply chain service providers and contribute to regular performance reviews, including agreed action plans.
- Monitor supply chain performance for vehicle arrivals and hauliers against estimated and required delivery dates, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Provide operating standards to service providers and monitor compliance with agreed standards and policies.
- Manage customer complaints through to effective resolution, liaising with stakeholders on outcomes, remedial actions, and continued monitoring.

- Have a strong understanding in body repair and paint techniques and experience in a similar quality checking role within the automotive industry or a comparable sector.
- You will bring effective communication and negotiation skills, supported by effective organisational, administrative and time management skills.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in vehicle body repair, paint techniques, and body shop quality control processes
- Recognised educational background and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong diplomacy skills and the ability to mediate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills.

Desirable Skills:
- Experience and knowledge of the automotive industry.
- BMW product knowledge
- Familiarity with BS EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
- Ability to solve problems using structured techniques, analytical reasoning, and effective collaboration.
