Location: Onsite – Secure Defence Site (Bury St Edmunds Area)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-focused IT Support Engineer to support a secure-site device refresh and migration programme in the Bury St Edmunds region. This onsite role is ideal for candidates with prior experience in hardware deployments, IT asset handling, and end-user support within secure environments.
Responsibilities:
* Support the setup and daily operations of an onsite refresh clinic
* Move and prepare IT equipment in line with the migration schedule
* Collect legacy devices and deploy new hardware to users
* Ensure accurate workflow updates within the project management system
* Conduct manual stock checks and ensure asset compliance
* Properly label and process returned devices for refurbishment or disposal
* Raise and escalate technical issues to onsite management as needed
Requirements:
* Active SC Clearance – essential due to the secure nature of the site
* Hands-on experience with IT deployments or migration projects
* Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Office 365
* Confident in face-to-face support and communicating with end users
* Ability to follow structured procedures and manage daily workflows independently
