An exciting role within the Forward Thinking Birmingham Referral Management Centre, the Clinical Support Worker [CSW] will play a key role in triaging children and young people’s biopsychosocial needs and ensuring they get to the correct service as quickly and accurately as possible.

As the first point of contact for incoming calls and referrals, the Clinical Support Worker will be responsible for assessing service user needs and for triaging referrals to the right service as quickly as possible according to urgency/priority and appropriate clinical service.
They will be able to escalated enquiries to a qualified clinician when necessary and ensure the Referral Management Centre operates a no wrong door approach.
The post holder will be working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, with regular access to supervision and training, to ensure that processes in place fully support an efficient, timely, service user-oriented experience, and liaise closely with a range of individuals including service users/families/clinical teams and referrers within Forward Thinking Birmingham and external partners.
This is an opportunity to gain experience working with children and young people and their families and carers with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental presentations.
