Join the Vascular, Head & Neck Theatre Team at Leeds General Infirmary as an experienced practitioner. Bring energy, leadership and a passion for exceptional patient care to a service that is continually evolving.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver a Monday‑to‑Friday service for patients undergoing arterial vascular surgery, acute vascular surgery, ENT and Maxillofacial procedures, interventional radiology surgery and elective MRIs.
* Support the expansion of the ENT service from 2 to 5 theatre days per week.
* Provide leadership, support and quality patient‑centred care across multidisciplinary teams.
* Teach, assess and mentor team members; hold or complete a recognised teaching/assessing qualification within the first year.
* Coordinate peri‑operative activities, ensuring effective communication and quality evidence‑based practice.
* Assist the Team Leader in leading and managing the peri‑operative teams throughout the 24‑hour period.
Essential Experience
* At least 18 months post‑registration Band 5 experience as a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
* Proven experience in vascular and/or head & neck surgery, or equivalent clinical expertise.
* Significant advanced peri‑operative or equivalent experience in a relevant specialty.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (Level 1) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
* Recognised teaching/assessing qualification (or commitment to complete within the first year).

* Teaching, supervision and assessment of qualified and unqualified staff.
* Time‑management and organisational skills.
