Electrical Bias Engineer

Role Summary
The successful candidate will install and maintain new plant and equipment, ensuring that plant faults and defects are swiftly rectified. Responsibilities include:
* React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA’s.
* Apply technical awareness of computer room, call centre and trader operations with experience of power, UPS, CPS, distribution and cooling systems.
* Apply a risk‑focused maintenance approach and operate plant and systems in data centres/critical environments.
* Provide emergency response standby, call out and respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies consistent with the SLA.
* Escalate urgent issues identified to the Technical Services Manager.
* Ensure all critical engineering maintenance documentation and records are kept up to date.
* Undertake site surveys and produce Works Requests, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for planned works.
* Understand and interpret technical drawings, instructions, processes and O&M documents.
* Complete all reactive Helpdesk Requests and ensure all actions are documented, reviewed and completed.
* Enter relevant quotes and remedial works into the in‑house system.
Experience and Qualifications
* 17th / 18th Edition Qualified.
* Experience of working in Facilities Management desirable.
* Recent experience in a similar role.
* Understanding of a CDM process.
* Excellent facilitation and communication skills at all levels.
* Evidence of Excellent Customer Service Delivery.
* Ability to self‑organise and manage assigned tasks, determining material requirements.
* Experience of H&S procedures and requirements: COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment, etc.
* Health & Safety Qualified (IOSH and/or NEBOSH).
* Testing and inspection of electrical systems.
* Knowledge of emergency response, standby, call‑out activities and protocols.
* Understanding of monitoring utilities and environmental programmes.
