Main duties of the job
About The Role: You will be working alongside our established GP team and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide high-quality, patient‑centered care. You will manage a mix of routine consultations, acute and chronic conditions with the associated administrative duties.
Deliver safe, effective and responsive GP services
Manage a varied clinical caseload
Undertake clinical administration in line with practice procedures
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate and up to date patient records

About Us:
We are a large, well established training practice based in North Mymms, Hertfordshire with easy access to the A1M. We serve a total population of around 17,400 patients with a branch surgery at the University of Hertfordshire, serving 8,000 registered students.
We are an innovated, high QOF/ECF achieving training practice within the Hatfield PCN. We use SystmOne and AccuRx for efficient, modern working with a triage model. We are committing to supporting our staff's wellbeing and professional development and are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our team for 6 sessions per week.
Our Team:
7 GP partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 4 Prescribing Nurses, 2 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA
ARRS‑funded roles including Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescribers, Care Co‑ordinator, health and wellbeing coaches and First Contact physiotherapists.

Job responsibilities
There will be a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population
Provision of services commensurate with the GP contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective management of long‑term conditions
Process administration in a timely manner including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Take responsibility for continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the organization
Attend and contribute effectively to external and internal meetings as required
Prepare and complete the revalidation process to remain fit to practice
Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times
Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
Undertake all mandatory training and induction programmes
Attend a formal appraisal at least every 12 months. Once a performance/training objective has been set, progress will be reviewed on a regular basis so that new objectives can be agreed

Qualifications
About You:
GMC registered with a license to practice
Included (or eligible to be) on the NHS Performers List
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient‑centered care
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Interest in developing clinical areas of expertise or leadership
