We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-focused Production Technician to join a close-knit and supportive team in Oxford. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of high-precision manufacturing, where safety, accuracy and continuous improvement are key.
You’ll be involved in the operation and maintenance of specialised chambers used for testing high-performance devices, working closely with engineering, quality and production teams. What you’ll be doing:
Assembling and disassembling test chambers, identifying components to technical drawings
Setting up and operating firing mechanisms safely and accurately
Loading, arming, and firing high-performance components
Collecting and analysing test data and updating internal systems (SAP)
Pressure testing chambers and using ovens, freezers, and conditioning chambers safely
Ensuring all work is completed in line with technical notes, QA instructions, and engineering specifications
What we’re looking for:
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
Mechanical Assembly Skills
Knowledge of oscilloscopes would be desirable but not essential
Comfortable working under time pressure and managing priorities to hit deadlines
Familiar with health & safety procedures in a workshop or production environment
