We are recruiting a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil who presents significant behavioural challenges. This is a vital role where your support will help a child access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the classroom. Key Responsibilities Provide consistent 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with challenging behaviour Implement de-escalation techniques and behaviour strategies Work collaboratively with the class teacher and external professionals to deliver an individual support plan Encourage engagement with learning and support academic tasks where needed Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Accurately record behaviour patterns, progress, and interventions The Ideal Candidate Experience working with SEND or pupils displaying challenging behaviour Team-Teach training (or willingness to undertake training) Calm, patient, resilient, and solution-focused A strong communicator who can work well within a team Flexible and adaptable to changing needs throughout the school day Committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning This is a rewarding opportunity to genuinely change a pupil's school experience for the better.
