Supplier Technical Manager

We are recruiting for a family-run business built on values of quality, innovation, and trust. We're now looking for an experienced Supplier Technical Manager to take ownership of supplier assurance, lead audits across their supply base, and drive improvements that support their third-party accreditations and customer standards.
What you'll be doing
* Managing and continuously improving the supplier approval and monitoring process, ensuring compliance with BRCGS, customer, and regulatory requirements.
* Leading supplier audits - with regular travel to growers and suppliers.
* Conducting risk assessments including VACCP/TACCP and raw material assessments.
* Creating and managing raw material micro and chemical schedules, investigating non-conformances, and reporting exceedances.
* Supporting the Raw Material Quality Manager with specification reviews.
* Driving Technical and Ethical improvements, including SEDEX, SMETA, and other due diligence systems.
* Maintaining supplier trackers and ensuring compliance across portals (Food Expert, Audax, customer systems).
* Playing an active role in internal audits and the HACCP team.
What we're looking for
* Proven technical experience in supplier assurance, auditing, and compliance.
* Lead Auditor trained (essential).
* Knowledge of BRCGS, Red Tractor, Global GAP, LEAF, and ethical compliance standards (SEDEX/GRASP).
* HACCP Level 3 certified.
* Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills and a customer-focused mindset.
* Commercially aware, proactive, and able to drive improvements across the supply base.
