About the role of Service Technician
We are looking for a Service Technician who can support the development of the next generation of IoT technologies to enhance Worker Safety and promote Digital Supervision within roadworks.
The Service Technician will support our multi-disciplined engineering team in the development of new products for our extensive range of products.
Responsibilities of a Service Technician
13. Building Electronic circuits using precision tools for surface mount components as appropriate
14. Fault-finding electronic circuits using schematics as the guide.
15. Developing applications based on existing products and producing the associated wiring diagrams.
16. Supporting the testing and certification of the company’s new products
17. Assisting with the transition of products from development into manufacture
18. Supporting the generation of product documentation
19. Support the Operations teams in solving production issues.
20. Create and maintain an appropriate level of electronic product documentation, including product guides and operating instructions as required.
21. Issue investigation and resolution on new and legacy electronics products.
22. Ability to multitask on several tasks that are running concurrently.
What good looks like for a Service Technician
23. City and Guilds or HND qualification in relevant subjects
24. Right to work in the UK unsponsored
25. Experience as a technician/engineer dealing with electronic devices
26. Experience in fault-finding on Electronic Circuits
27. Experience in product testing.
28. Knowledge of key engineering design tools for schematic entry, PCB layout or producing wiring diagrams
29. An open and positive outlook, with an interest in exploring new technologies and ideas.
30. The ability to work effectively on own initiative within a multi-disciplined engineering team.
31. Good standard of English written and spoken.
