Overview
Xstrahl is a leading designer and manufacturer of Superficial Orthovoltage Medical X‑ray Systems used in treatment of cancers and dermatological disorders, as well as a pioneer in the development of advanced X‑ray systems for pre‑clinical radiation biology research.
We are seeking an organised and technically strong individual with a passion for travel to join our team as an Installation and Service Engineer. This person will be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance and breakdown/corrective maintenance for Xstrahl therapy and life science systems. The role will take you to international destinations, engaging with leading healthcare and research professionals, ensuring our technology continues to improve lives.
The individual will be based in the UK and will have the opportunity to travel globally while making a real impact in cancer treatment and radiation research.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Install, handover and acceptance testing in accordance with Xstrahl Quality Management System (QMS) on both medical and life science equipment.
* Complete installations on schedule and within budget, with all documentation signed off and submitted to service admin.
* Provide prompt and professional engineering support to Xstrahl therapy and life science systems worldwide, including fault diagnosis and defect rectification.
* Assist with production/in‑house work when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records and complete reports in accordance with company procedures.
* Effectively manage travel arrangements, expenses and personal statements per company policy.
* Assist the Technical Support department in handling inbound tickets, providing telephone and remote support, and managing ticket closure.
* Maintain a personal Net Promoter Score (NPS) of greater than 40.
* Timely complete customer tickets per company procedures.
* Communicate customer feedback, contribute to CAPA and support Zero Defects policy.

Utilization of EOS Principles
* Provide at least two headlines for the L10 department meeting.
* Provide at least one issue for the L10 department meeting.
* Assist in driving the scorecard matrices.
* Prepare for quarterly job chats with your Service Manager.
* Assist in the creation of the annual departmental plan and quarterly rocks.
Required Skills and Education
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
* Associate degree or higher required.
* Good level of IT skills, experience with proprietary software, Windows OS and Office applications.
* Proven experience in a service environment.
* Clean driving licence.
* Self‑motivated, able to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
* Passion for travel and desire to visit other countries and experience other cultures.
Knowledge & Experience
* Field service experience.
* Electrical and electronic diagnostic skills.
* Mechanical assembly.
* Experience servicing, repairing and installing imaging equipment.
* Experience installing software.
* Experience installing and commissioning complex electro‑mechanical systems.
* Ability to speak multiple languages is an advantage.
