About the Role
As a result of continued success and the award of several major contracts, LMUK Ampthill is entering an exciting phase of growth. We are now seeking high-calibre Graduate Engineers to join our Manufacturing team, part of the wider Production Operations function.
About Manufacturing at LMUK Ampthill
Our Manufacturing function is a diverse and dynamic environment, encompassing:
1. Production, Production Control, Materials Planning, and Stores
2. Manufacturing Operations Engineering, including Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, and Tooling Engineering

Required skills, qualifications and experience
As a Manufacturing Graduate Engineer, you will work alongside experienced Manufacturing Engineers, Production Managers, Specialists, and Team Leaders. You will use engineering principles and process improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence across a wide range of activities. Under the guidance of senior personnel, you will:
3. Apply your degree in Engineering or a related discipline to practical, real-world challenges
4. Plan and manage your own workload within defined constraints, supported by technical mentors
5. Provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams
6. Liaise between engineering and production to support seamless operations
7. Develop a strong working knowledge of manufacturing standards, processes, and procedures
8. Contribute to achieving production plans, schedules, and cost targets
9. Work accurately and independently in a fast-paced production environment
10. Demonstrate a structured, disciplined, and safety-oriented approach
11. Successfully complete the Manufacturing Graduate Programme and all mandatory training
12. Utilise strong IT skills across a variety of software tools
13. Proactively seek opportunities to deepen your skills and broaden your experience
14. Apply lateral thinking to generate innovative solutions to complex manufacturing challenges
