Overview
228283 (AJM) - Assistant Service Manager at NHS Ayrshire & Arran. This role works as a key member of the Clinical Management Team supporting the Clinical Service Manager and the Clinical Management Team in the operational and performance management of the Service, including waiting times management.
Responsibilities
* Provide performance management (financial, planning and business management) support to the Clinical Service Manager, ensuring services are delivered within budget, targets are met, and income is maximised.
* Direct and manage the provision of administrative staff across the service.
* Make recommendations to the service and provide guidance on service redesign and capacity planning in line with NHS Scotland planning and modernisation agenda.
Requirements / Qualifications
* PVG Scheme membership/record is required. If not currently a member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application to Disclosure Scotland will be required before starting.
* Because this role involves work in the United Kingdom, candidates must demonstrate they have permission to work in the country as required by UK law.
* From 1 April 2025, changes to criminal records checks may apply; if the role is assessed as a "regulated role", appointment will be subject to PVG membership. Any changes will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team.
