About the Role
The Contract Manager's is varied and you will be managing a number of contracts for services in relation to Adult Social Care or Children in Care.
The Contract managers duties include as follows:
* Leading the development of contract management, quality improvement approaches and plans on specific service areas with providers, internal and external partners
* Working with and manage providers through service improvement issues, including informed issuing of service improvement notices and default notices, provider liaison during termination of contracts and project manage failing providers to improve service quality to meet contractual requirements
* Leading the development, implementation and maintenance of accurate performance monitoring systems for specific contracts, analysing monitoring data, producing and distributing performance reports as required and supporting providers with service development.
* Leading on contract compliance and performance monitoring with relevant providers to deal promptly and effectively with provider queries, concerns or identified contractual issues
* Leading all provider management and relationships including formal and informal routes e.g. visits, quality assurance visits, forums, provider meetings, market management, business failures and continuity.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience and knowledge of contract management, quality improvement and establishing effective mechanisms to support these functions.
* Knowledge of effective market management, holding providers to account, negotiating, and following contractual processes where poor performance is identified
* Experience in leading contract negotiations concerning price, delivery and quality, with service providers and commissioning partners across a diverse range of services
* Knowledge and experience of supporting provider failure processes, working with poor performing providers to improve or close, whilst ensuring minimum disruption to those accessing care and support.
* Experience of writing comprehensive and technical reports, with an understanding of the political context and potential implications
* Experience of establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and working relationships, with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve jointly agreed outcomes and best value
-A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
-You must be willing to travel outside of the Nottinghamshire boundary to undertake site Quality Assurance visits if required
