THE DIRECTOR OF PROGRESSION ROLE:
This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for prevention, support and care services across the organisation. You’ll oversee multiple services and contracts, ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous improvement while keeping young people at the centre of everything delivered.
You’ll lead and develop managers, drive new service development, and work closely with local authorities and partner organisations to strengthen delivery and expand provision. Alongside this, you’ll take on safeguarding lead responsibilities and play a key role in shaping organisational strategy and performance.
It’s a role that balances strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, requiring someone comfortable operating at both board and service level.
DIRECTOR OF PROGRESSION ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Senior leadership experience within housing, social care, youth services or similar
• Proven experience managing multiple services and leading managers
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience making high-level decisions
• Experience working with local authorities, commissioners or partner organisations
• Track record of service development, performance management, and improvement
• Budget management and strategic planning experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
