Accounts Assistant | Aylesford (Office Based) | Up to £30k
Our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and fast-paced finance team based in Aylesford. This is a full-time, office-based role offering an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or continue their finance career within a supportive business.
Key responsibilities:
Process purchase invoices daily, matching to purchase orders where applicable
Prepare weekly and ad-hoc payment runs across both businesses
Liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice queries and discrepancies
Assist with supplier statement reconciliations
Process daily cashbooks for multiple bank accounts, including foreign currency
Reconcile petty cash and ensure accurate records
Process and allocate customer card payments
Prepare and send monthly direct debit collection letters
Raise sales invoices for account customers in the retail store
Reconcile daily store takings against till reports and prepare for banking
Assist with year-end audit preparation
Support ongoing process improvement projects within the finance function
Provide cover for the Financial Controller and support general finance tasks during periods of leave or absence
