Claims Handler

We are seeking skilled and experienced professionals to handle Insurance Claims for our Haulage and Motor Trade clients. This customer-focused role requires leveraging your claims handling expertise to deliver excellent service from first notification to settlement.

You will prioritize customer satisfaction, applying know your customer (KYC) and treating customers fairly (TCF) principles, while ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage Commercial Claims to meet or exceed service standards
2. Maintain an efficient diary system for all claims and pursue as necessary
3. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Acturis
4. Provide claims information and reports to the broking department and clients as needed
5. Handle complex claims according to group procedures
6. Acknowledge all new claims to clients and insurers, keep clients informed, and aim for the best outcome
7. Produce claims MI and reports as required
8. Attend client meetings and present claims information when needed
9. Perform any other duties as requested by management
10. Manage personal CPD to keep skills and knowledge current


Experience:

1. Robust claims handling experience and thorough understanding of insurance claims procedures
2. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
3. Knowledge of Acturis (desirable), proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
4. Cert CII or working towards it, or willingness to undertake this qualification
5. Highly organized with excellent time management
6. Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, multitasking ability, and high attention to detail
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
