Use your financial expertise to influence decisions that help improve lives.
We believe that great homes build better lives. Behind the scenes of our 34,000+ homes across the Midlands is a high-performing Finance team making strategic decisions that drive value, compliance, and impact.
Join us now as a Finance Business Partner - a high-visibility role where you will act as a key advisor, shaping our financial performance and long-term strategic planning.
What you’ll be doing:
* You won't just produce management accounts and board reports; you will provide the narrative and "the why" behind the numbers, delivering actionable insights that influence future forecasts.
* This is a true partnership role. You will proactively engage with senior stakeholders and budget managers across the organization, acting as a critical friend to help them make sound, strategic decisions.
* You will take ownership of the quality of our financial information, driving improvements in reporting while maintaining a robust grip on compliance and controls.
At Midland Heart, we understand the importance of a good work-life balance. Through our SMART working model, you can enjoy a mix of home and office-based working (up to two days at home), depending on the needs of the team and our tenants.
Our Ideal Candidate?
* A qualified or finalist Accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) with a strong technical foundation.
* Demonstrable experience in not only producing budgets and forecasts but in presenting them with clarity to non-finance audiences.
* Experience liaising with a range of stakeholders, from Executive Directors to frontline colleagues. You should have a proven ability to influence business performance by offering both robust challenge and collaborative support.
* Highly skilled in using Excel to interpret complex data sets, turning high volumes of information into clear, strategic recommendations.
In this role, you can expect to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Based on business needs, time spent working from the office increases to full-time during reporting cycles.
