We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Receptionist at our well-established GP surgery in North London. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
* Greet patients and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner.
* Register new patients, update existing patient records, and maintain accurate and confidential patient information.
* Schedule appointments and manage the appointment system efficiently.
* Answer telephone calls, handle inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Liaise with Doctors, Nurses, and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
* Manage incoming and outgoing emails, filing and data entry.
* Handle patient queries, provide information on services, and address general inquiries.
* Process prescriptions.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Requirements:
* Knowledge or EMIS.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Previous experience in as a medical receptionist
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and interact effectively with a diverse range of patients and colleagues.
* Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
* Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical record software.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
* Respect for patient confidentiality and a commitment to maintaining data protection standards.
* Flexibility to work occasional evenings, as per the surgery's needs.
