A friendly and well organised GP Surgery in Abingdon is looking to recruit a full time Practice Nurse to join their supportive clinical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Practice Nurse with experience working in a GP surgery who is looking for a stable role within a welcoming and well run practice. Nurses are valued members of the team and are supported by experienced GPs, fellow nurses and administrative staff.
The role offers a varied workload and the chance to further develop your skills within Primary Care while delivering high quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
Chronic disease management including asthma, COPD and diabetes reviews
Immunisations and vaccinations
Cervical cytology (desirable but not essential)
Wound care and dressings
NHS health checks
Blood pressure monitoring and ECGs
Phlebotomy
Health promotion and patient education
Supporting the wider clinical team with patient care

Candidate Requirements
Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
Experience working within a GP surgery environment
Confident delivering treatment room duties
