Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join our team at Heathrow Airport. This role involves proactively partnering with managers at all levels to provide pragmatic and commercially focused People solutions that meet business goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing the People plan across the contract, promoting an inclusive and diverse culture, and supporting the social value agenda to benefit the team as well as the wider community.
Main Duties
1. Create and deliver the People Plan for the contract.
2. Monitor complex ER cases and liaise with the ER team to ensure cases progress as required.
3. Manage people change projects, working with the Change Partnering team to ensure successful outcomes.
4. Coach, mentor, and train managers on core People processes and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
5. Drive Mitie values and support the improvement of cultural behaviours on sites.
6. Enhance awareness of company benefits and improve communications across sites and the wider business.
7. Ensure compliance with key areas such as suspensions, right to work, vetting, HR, L&D, and recruitment.
8. Promote and embed a performance management culture across the contract.
9. Provide support to line managers in implementing performance management training and assist with the MiReview appraisal process.
10. Work with the People Business Partner on change initiatives related to restructuring and new business activities.
11. Compile monthly HR reports and complete a monthly people report.
12. Inform managers of updates in legislation and potential impacts on the business.
13. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with GDPR requirements.
14. Enable employee engagement and communication to drive improvement in morale and engagement survey results.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a credible People Professional with experience in a commercially focused environment. The ideal candidate should be resilient, able to influence key decision-makers, and drive the People agenda across the contract.
They should be a team player, confident communicator, committed to the delivery of excellent customer service, and a role model for the Mitie Values.
The candidate should demonstrate understanding of confidentiality, make decisions independently, have sound knowledge of employment law, be flexible and adaptable. Experience in delivering HR training and working under pressure is essential, while TUPE experience is preferred but not required. Candidate must have a full UK driving license.
