We are seeking a new team member to join Wakefield Cares Careers Hub to support a project dedicated to helping displaced workers (individuals who have lost sponsorship through no fault of their own) into suitable employment in the adult social care sector in Wakefield.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we are expanding the work we are currently doing to support displaced workers in Wakefield, helping people into employment and the adult social care sector as a whole!

This is a part time, temporary role (23.5 hours per week until 30th June 2026), we are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements, and we will aim to arrange working days that suit you between Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Responsibilities
* To be the main point of contact for displaced workers in Wakefield
* Carry out introductory calls for new displaced worker referrals
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify suitable vacancies
* Signpost displaced workers to pastoral support services
* Keep data and records accurate and up to date

Qualifications and Experience
* A team player with a positive attitude to join our small team
* A compassionate and empathetic person who genuinely wants the best outcomes for others
* 4 GCSE’S at Grade 4 or above or equivalent, including English Language
* Experience in a related role i.e. Local Government Administration or a recruitment related role
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Packages in particular Word & Excel
* Someone who is comfortable picking up the phone and engaging with people in line with Wakefield Council’s customer service standards
