Our Assessment and Support service is made up of three teams working out of three locality offices: South Locality (Ross-on-Wye), North Locality (Leominster) and Central Locality (Hereford). Each team comprises a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and Family Support Workers. Locality working gives you the opportunity to stay connected, meet new colleagues, and easily access support.
Role
As a qualified social worker with management or supervisory experience (e.g., Senior Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner), you will work within the Assessment Team, managing a team of staff who work directly with children and families. The four teams consist of a Team Manager, a managing practitioner and five Social Workers. You will provide leadership, allocate and prioritise workloads effectively, ensure the care of the child is paramount and develop your team to deliver an effective and efficient service. Your responsibilities will include overseeing team planning to meet objectives, achieving performance targets, and managing robust short‑term quality assessments of need.
