Purchase Ledger Clerk
Rate: 13.39 per hour

Hours: Full-time or part-time available
The Role
We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a small, friendly team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the company's purchase ledger
* Match purchase invoices to relevant stock purchase orders in the system
* Process purchase invoices and credit notes with correct nominal codes
* Handle purchase invoice queries by contacting suppliers via phone or email
* Check supplier statements and cross-reference with internal systems
* Reconcile cashbooks with bank statements and investigate discrepancies
* Add new suppliers into the system
* Calculate VAT payments and ensure VAT is correctly allocated from invoices
* Prepare weekly and monthly pay runs in GBP, EUR, and USD
* Manage the accounts email inbox
* Perform general office duties to support the team
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working in a purchase ledger role
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficiency in IT and experience with Sage 200
