1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs on Facilities and Manufacturing equipment.
2. Diagnose faults and implement timely and effective solutions.
3. Support installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment upgrades.
4. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and strictly in compliance with health & safety standards.
5. Maintain accurate records of work carried out using the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
6. Work collaboratively with production teams to identify areas of improvement.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing practices.
8. Respond quickly to breakdowns, minimising production downtime.
9. Assist with spare parts management and stock control.
Key Skills & Experience Required
10. Time-served engineer with an apprenticeship or relevant NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
11. Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
12. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
13. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
14. Basic understanding of health & safety, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
15. Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving.
16. Strong communication skills and a great teammate attitude.
Desirable (Not Essential)
17. 17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
18. Experience with PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).
19. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools (, 5S, Kaizen).
