Our skilled Assembly team brings together mechanical and electrical components with precision and speed, working to tight deadlines while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. Supporting this process, the Test and Validation (T&V) team plays a critical role in validating and continuously improving components. Working closely with engineering teams across the business, T&V ensures every part meets performance targets and contributes to the ongoing evolution of our Formula 1 car. Together, these teams transform cutting-edge design Test and Validation Summer Placement Join our Test & Validation (T&V) team at Williams Racing to support the testing, development, and validation of Formula 1 components and systems. You’ll be involved in building and maintaining test rigs, calibrating sensors, conducting strength and durability tests, and supporting off-site testing activities. This hands-on role offers exposure to a wide range of departments and technologies, contributing directly to car performance and reliability. Shape the Future Help develop and operate rigs that validate car components and drive performance upgrades across the race car. Gain hands-on experience in testing, rig development, and component validation. Work with departments across the organisation to support the turnaround and evolution of the car. Learn from experienced engineers while contributing to the continuous development of cutting-edge F1 technology. Make Real Impact Carry out strength, durability, and performance tests using hydraulic equipment and bespoke rigs. Support off-site testing activities and maintain critical systems like the eight-post rig. Contribute to the servicing of hydraulic equipment and sensors. Collaborate across departments to deliver accurate test reports and improve tooling and processes. Find Your Place Studying towards a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering. Strong mechanical understanding, with attention to detail and a proactive attitude. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with data analysis tools, technical drawings, and hydraulic systems is highly desirable. Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for motorsport.
