Key Duties:
6. Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging and effective Geography curriculum for Stage 4-6 students, with a particular focus on HSC success.
7. Deliver engaging and effective lessons, focusing on geographical concepts, skills, and inquiry.
8. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
9. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
10. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to a cohesive and innovative humanities faculty.
11. Participate in professional development to enhance teaching practice and stay current with curriculum expectations.
12. Support extra-curricular activities related to Geography and environmental awareness.
Skills & Experience:
13. Relevent teaching experience
14. WWCC clearance
15. Has experience differentiating instruction for single-sex classes (boys and girls).
16. Is confident in delivering engaging and effective Stage 4 & 5 Geography lessons, with a focus on inquiry-based learning and real-world relevance.
17. Can integrate technology to enhance student engagement and support interactive learning experiences.
18. Is willing to contribute to faculty discussions, curriculum development, and extra-curricular programs such as geography competitions or environmental initiatives.
19. Possesses strong communication skills, including proficiency in email and a willingness to develop expertise in the Google Suite.
20. Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
